Here is some travel information for those coming to the 2008 ABC in Prescott Arizona. Please note that we are providing this list for information only. The WSO neither endorses any of these organizations, nor receives any payments for listing them here. We are listing multiple options here for your consideration. For those traveling by air, the primary hub for Prescott is the Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix, Arizona. From there, you can either rent a car at the airport and drive to Prescott, or you can take a shuttle to Prescott, followed by a short taxi ride to your hotel. Either way, plan on a 2 hour ride from the Airport to Prescott. Two shuttle services are available from Phoenix Sky Harbor to Prescott: For those interested, Prescott also has a local airport with flights to Phoenix and Las Vegas. There are many hotels/motels in the Prescott area, some of which include breakfast as part of the room fee. Here are a couple links listing some of them. In Whiskey Row, we have the historic Hotel St. Michael (in the middle of city, though the rooms are small by today’s standards). An added plus is that it’s only a three block walk from the hotel to the church where the ABC is to be held.
Hint: You’ll hear more about Prescott's historic Whiskey Row in an optional guided tour of the city scheduled for Saturday during the ABC – and you can thoroughly enjoy Whiskey Row without taking a drink! There are also many other hotels/motels in the Prescott area which you can find through one of the many Internet search web sites. More questions? Send an e-mail to ScottR, the ABC Chairperson. |
