The ACA WSO Literature Committee is currently overseeing the development of a meditation book for the ACA fellowship. This is an exciting project in which we invite you to participate. The Literature Committee is accepting meditation writings from groups and individuals. ACA members are encouraged to participate by writing meditation entries that illustrate ACA's program of recovery. All submittals must be accompanied with a signed author release form (click here to download a copy).

The ACA WSO Literature Committee is collecting the meditation items in hopes of going forward with the project as funds and work load allow. The Literature Committee will oversee the writing, editing and rewriting of the material. Submittals are owned by ACA WSO and can be edited, changed, or merged with a similar submittal at will by the ACA WSO Literature Committee.

Guidelines for submitting writing for the Adult Children of Alcoholics Meditation Book Project.

1. General themes should involve the principles of the ACA Twelve Steps, Traditions or working the ACA program, i.e., attending meetings, working the Steps, sponsorship, Inner Child, Laundry List, relapse, Emotional Sobriety, reparenting, grief work, feeling feelings, service work, group unity, primary purpose, etc.
   
   
2. Topics for the daily meditations can be found in the index of the ACA Fellowship Text or other ACA Conference-Approved literature.
   
   
3. In general, the writings should be 150 words to 200 words in length.
   
   
4. The daily entries should not endorse another Twelve Step fellowship or combine the ACA message with the message of another Twelve Step fellowship or other outside entity.
   
   
5. The meditation readings should carry a clear ACA message that does not conflict with ACA Twelve Steps or Traditions or other ACA Conference-Approved Literature. The meditation pieces cannot alter the Adult Children of Alcoholics name or the ACA Twelve Steps, Traditions or Concepts.
   
   
6. Quotes or references to recovery authors or similar sources should be avoided.
   
   
7. Other editing and writing stipulations not mentioned here apply as well.
   
   
8. Meditation Book Copyright Release Form must be completed and mailed with your meditation submittal.
