SUMMARY:2024 Unity in Diversity: The Many Faces of ACA
DESCRIPTION:This online event\, hosted by the Diversity & Inclusion Committee of GEBACA Intergroup\, will include a panel\, main speaker\, and meeting. Fellow Travelers will share their experience\, strength and hope with a focus on stereotyping and labeling. Marginalized people are often negatively stereotyped by the dominant culture. We also may be unfairly labeled in our families of origin. Join other Fellow Travelers to share about what we have experienced and internalized\, and the impact of ACA recovery. \nACA is one fellowship united in our primary purpose to carry the message to the adult child who still suffers. Our fellowship is diverse and many of us have experienced trauma and neglect both in our families and society. Familial and societal dysfunction impacted us then and affect us today.
