ACA WSO Literature Evaluation Review Criteria  

 Please help us help you by reviewing the criteria below. The Literature Evaluation subcommittee applies this criteria to all Submissions. This gives an objective assessment.  


 

  • Is this literature project targeted or of benefit to the entire ACA fellowship, or a subset of the ACA fellowship?

  • Does this Submission fill a current ACA need that is not already available or under development?

  • What essential audience(s), if any, does this Submission address? (Newcomers, Old Timers, ACAs of Color, LGBTQIA, ACA Groups, ACA Intergroups, Service, Other)

  • What practical value does this literature offer for working the ACA program?

  • Is it consistent with the ACA Twelve Traditions?

  • Is it consistent with ACA being a spiritual and not religious program?

  • Is it inclusive of people from homes where alcohol and drugs were not present?

  • Is it simple enough to be translated easily and without losing meaning in other languages?

  • Does the tone of the writing embody the principles of gentleness, love and respect?

  • Is it clear and concise (limited word count, avoided redundancy)?

  • To reach a wide audience, ACA WSO develops literature written at a basic to intermediate reading level. How easy is this Submission to read (Easy, Somewhat Easy, Neither Easy nor Not Easy, Somewhat Difficult, Difficult)

  • Your Recommendation (Recommend As-Is, Recommend for Further Development, Do Not Recommend for Further Development)

  • How important it is that WSO develop this Submission (Scale of 0 to 10)
