ACA WSO Web/database Report for the August 2013 Teleconference.
The number of registered meetings remains at 1201 meetings at the end of July. However, meeting updates included 25 new meetings being registered in July, plus another 84 meeting updates being processed. Once again, Gloria has been busy processing all these entries. Gloria is taking some leave this month (August), so further updates are pending her return later this month.
Larry has initiated preliminary conversations with Centauria (centauria.com), who developed the NA.org web site under contract with NA, to discuss a possible contract to update the WSO ACA web site in a similar manner (replacing the current web site in its entirety). Do note that these are currently preliminary discussions only with no established plan of action, contract, nor schedule developed as of yet.
Copies of the draft Meditation Book and Public Information Pamphlet have been placed in the repository for review and comment by the fellowship (see https://acawso.org/literature-committee/literature-review). These have been made available using Google Docs in a read-only format for review purposes only and unavailable for download or printing. We’ve had a couple reports verifying that the Google Docs format does not work properly with some of the older computers or browsers, but the product seems fully compatible with the newer systems and software.
A new menu item was added to the repository showing the donations received from the fellowship (see https://acawso.org/wso-treasurer/donations-received). This article will be updated monthly by the WSO Treasurer.
