Inner Family Time Workshop: Connecting the Loving Parent & Inner Child Workshop
An ACA Workshop on Zoom sponsored by the ACA Arizona Intergroup (IG #9)
During this 2-hour workshop we will practice connecting with higher power, expressing the inner child or inner teen, and embodying the inner loving parent.
After a meditation to guide you to connect with your higher power, loving parent, and inner child or teen, you will have 30 minutes to play, create, dance, journal or whatever else your inner child would like to do, while witnessed and affirmed by your loving parent. Following a visualization to integrate all of these parts within you, time is open for those who wish to share what the experience was like for them.
To prepare for the workshop you may want to ask your inner child or teen what supplies they would like to have available during the Inner Family Time. If they aren’t sure, you can select some art supplies, a favorite plushie, a device to listen to music, and anything else your inner child has enjoyed in the past. There is no wrong thing to do during Inner Family Time. Our purpose is to create a safe space for our inner child or inner teen to express themselves and to be witnessed and supported by inner loving parent and higher power.
