ACA members accepting the call of service work provide the energy we need to do the good work of ACA around the globe. There could easily be 300 million adult children in the world, so the work ahead remains steady. But we make progress each day. p.536

In February, we received 319 requests. I sent 480 emails. We got 45 telephone calls.

International connections made this month:

Australia, Norway, South Africa, Brazil, Estonia, Austria, UK, Denmark, Italy, Sweden, Lithuania, Russia, FIJI, Japan, Ireland, France, Canada, Spain, Germany, Estonia, Slovenia, Egypt

Remarkable events:

------------ Around the world:  Larry and the office are working together to help S AF with their bulk order request under our new discount. I contacted the Formosan group and wished them a 1 year anniversary. Austria said thank you for receiving their package! A Lithuanian asked if ACA is based on Carl Jung, I'm working with an adult child in Fiji, I hear that the European Countries are forming a Region, I understand that France is starting a meeting, a member in Arizona offered to help translating in French, a S AF member reached out about the Comline and after several emails she said she's been running a "meeting" for almost 10 years without any ACA literature. A psyche unit in her town will get a BBI package so that ACA will become more known by the adult children there and I hooked her up with the Africa contact sheet for support. Jude taught me how to do a "reverse IP search" and she showed me that we got our first Egypt contact and she is telling her about the Lights On program.

----------- Intergroups: AZ IG arranged for a library to get literature and gave a heads up about a possible issue. UK IG received an incomplete shipment.

-----------ACA Teen: - A meeting asked how to donate to an ACA Teen group, I sent literature snippets about self-support, etc. A minor reached out for help.  A mother of teens reached out for help for her kids.

----------ABC: - A US and a Danish member requested the proposals in a PDF form. Groups reached out for proposal voting help. I have a template complete with attachments that I send out and it has helped all of them. A member got information on how to attend the ABC, a member asked about proposal cutoffs for their group, a meeting contact asked if their group was required to vote-as a group they perceived the proposals as not pertaining to them.

-----------Teamwork: Gloria 39, Scott 4 (add LGBT as a meeting category), Office 30, Sam 9, Majbrit 16, MaryJo 3, Ines 6, Literature Committee 14, Joan 11, IGSC 0 Executive Board: 0 Jude: 39 Nastya: 12 MPS is restructuring, I'm sending emails to Nastya for 7 days and Jude for 7 days. They are both able to tackle harder emails now. Nastya got her "wings" this month as she doesn't have to bcc me anymore. Jude contacted a member in Egypt and explained to her about the Lights On Program for starting the 1st meeting in Egypt! Note: for future MPS committee members overseas, to do call backs they'll have to have some assistance from WSO for that. Important note for MPS workers we worked on this month: a person might speak about their specific needs and their childhood details or their loved ones difficulties, and ask for help with all of those details, in MPS we see that as a "find a meeting" email, so that they can get to a meeting and find their answers in their own time. This is in keeping with the MPS Mission Statement: "The purpose of Member and Public Services in ACA is to support ACA Members in becoming responsible for their own well-being through ACA-related materials, and to provide information for the Public and professionals by providing ACA-related resources and services.” (Based on a quote from page 354: The purpose of service in ACA is to support one another in becoming responsible for our own well-being."). My 2 year commitment will end as the ABC ends, it's been the most important work I've done in my recovery after my ACA Stepwork. My recovery skyrocketed in these 2 years.

The Laundry List and Flip Sides (draft) feedback- a title suggestion, a Tony A question, the cover of it was commented on, language too clinical, wording changes, contextual and thematic changes, add a forward to it, not in keeping with ACA experience or ACA Traditions. When will it be available to buy? It's still on the website.

-----------Audio Book: This month I sent out 28 emails to members worldwide who inquired about the Audio book over the years. I included the 3 links, and the Audio Book Index.

-----------ComlineI offered to Phyllis any resources from previous MPS reports for the Comline. One S African meeting told another S African meeting about the ComLine and they both reached out to find out more about it and how to contribute an international perspective.

-----------Events:  2 events were posted (Western WA IG). I came across a PDF posting of an ACA event in N. Carolina and reached out to them to see if they'd like it to be posted, they said they were already booked to maximum. An Albuquerque meeting is planning an event in September and asked for guidance. There are 4 non WSO events listed. There are 2 WSO sponsored events listed: The yearly Annual Business Conference and the monthly Teleconference.

----------- Public Information related:Here is a list of who I'm helping for BBI packages: an AZ library, a California Youth and Family Center,  a South African Psychiatric Intervention Unit, a Detox/Rehab in GA, A S. African Psychiatric Clinic, A CA Probation Treatment Mgr, a CA Behavioral Health Facility, I "cold-called" the National Child Traumatic Stress Network to see if they would like BBI packages, they have 8300 affiliated partners ... , A chaplain reached out saying she "gives" an ACA meeting in 2 facilities and would like literature. I forwarded her to Joan to let her know how ACA H&I works.  A Nursing student in Alaska asked to interview a person for a report, an author offered sending her ACA related novel to the DC office when she is done, I updated the United Way 2-1-1 listing for us, a Nurse asked if she can attend a meeting for a paper she's doing.

-----------From the fellowshipTelephone meetings: 3 concerns, 1 complaint, 1 for guidance, (mtgs without leaders, can WSO help us in between meetings? how do you unmute on all the lines? ) -Facebook: 0  Comments: - The Audio book is GREAT! I didn't know the hardbound meditation book was so big! Is there an okay way to use ACA logo? The ACA member who wrote our intro reached out for the history of the BRB writing as she will be speaking soon, I work in a detox unit and we are planning to have ACA meetings as part of our program, can you explain how we should do this (I was very clear what can happen and what can't), how long can someone be the business chair, does ACA have a Group Inventory?, what prayers are acceptable in ACA meetings?, should we open a bank account?, when will the website be ready?

-----Common requests:  = How do you donate? Can we use the ACA logo? I know someone who needs ACA, Tony A questions every month, I'm in Al-Anon and I want to start an adult child meeting,

The following are not direct quotes but the requests touched me:

I'm going to go to my first meeting, do I have to do anything first? I'd like to start ACA to help me be a better spouse

A Meeting Submitted A Slogan For Consideration: "Honey, You're Doin' Just Fine!"
