LITERATURE COMMITTEE REPORT

FOR

FEBRUARY 2016

CALL FOR LITERATURE COMMITTEE VOLUNTEERS! WRITERS, EDITORS, PROOFREADERS, ILLUSTRATORS, GRAPHIC DESIGNERS, LAYOUT SPECIALISTS, AND PHOTOGRAPHERS WANTED!

We have a lot of exciting projects in the works – and are looking for volunteers to help us shape the future of ACA. Currently we are looking for stories of experience, strength, and hope to publish in the ComLine newsletter. We would especially appreciate shares from adult children from around the world. Please share in the language of your childhood; we will publish your share in your language.

ComLine

The 2nd Quarter ComLine is now in production, and we are accepting submissions for the 3rd Quarter 2016 issue; this covers July, August, and September. All submissions for the 3nd Quarter issue should be submitted by May 31, 2016.

Previous ComLine issues are downloadable for free from http://www.adultchildren.org/comline.

The Laundry Lists Workbook

Fellowship interest in The Laundry Lists Workbook is strong, and this book is now in its third printing.

Best Practices Offerings for Fellowship Review/Comment

Ready, Set, GO!! (RSG) is still available as an orientation/introduction for those who wish to take the ACA Twelve Steps over a four-week period. RSG is being offered by The Downers Grove Noontime Meeting (IL 193). The WSO is not responsible for any copyright infringement, if any, exercised by the offering group/authors.

The fellowship is invited to use Ready, Set, GO!! “as is”. The Literature Committee encourages on line comments about RSG at https://www.acawso.org/images/literature/Comline/RSG/Ready_Set_GO_Best_Practices.pdf.

Literature Projects

Twelve Steps of Adult Children Steps Workbook literature update: Fellowship request that Steps Six through Twelve be expanded with additional questions and exercises. We look forward to receiving your suggestions for Steps Six through Twelve. The period for Workbook Steps submissions is still open. Please submit suggestions for additional questions for Steps Six through Twelve of the Twelve Steps Workbook to [email protected].

Translations

We are focusing almost all of our energy on outside US literature fulfillment solutions. All tri-folds and booklets offered for sale in the shopping cart have been translated into the Danish, Spanish, Finnish, and Russian. Layout, formatting, and quality checks prior to printing is in process.

We’ve received the entire BRB translated into Russian. It is now in verification prior to production.

We revised the literature for download page to be in a table format that should be easier to navigate. We also added new and updated translations. See translations available for download without charge at http://www.adultchildren.org/non-english-literature.

BRB ANNIVERSARY SPECIAL ISSUE

It’s been nearly 10 years since the BRB was first published. We plan to offer a special limited edition, 10th Anniversary issue in late 2016.

Audio BRB

Sales for December were 88 a-books sold. Total sold is 1,052 a-BRBs.

e-BRB

Sales for December were 250 e-books sold.  Total sold, according to our count, is 9,459 e-BRBs.

Miscellaneous

Approximately 450 emails were traded both domestically and abroad. Emails continue to cover the scope of literature offerings, suggestions for future publications, translations, printing / reprinting of new and existing products, digital offerings, and the international distribution project.

Sincerely yours in service,
