LITERATURE COMMITTEE REPORT FOR MAY 2016
CALL FOR LITERATURE COMMITTEE VOLUNTEERS! TRANSLATORS, WRITERS, EDITORS, PROOFREADERS, ILLUSTRATORS, GRAPHIC DESIGNERS, LAYOUT SPECIALISTS, AND PHOTOGRAPHERS WANTED!
We have a lot of exciting projects in the works – including an enthusiastic team of volunteers to help us shape the future of ACA. 

Literature Evaluation Subcommittee
The new Literature Evaluation Subcommittee is now formed and in action. They are establishing small teams to review different submissions, and meet monthly via teleconference; The first item under review is “Ready, Set, GO!!”.
ComLine
As of April, the ComLine has celebrated its one-year anniversary of renewal. The ComLine is offered quarterly as a free download, with an additional 5th issue dedicated to the ABC. Working on the ComLine is both challenging and rewarding. We give a heartfelt “THANK YOU” to Phyllis R, who has served as Editor for this past year. Phyllis not only assisted with the ComLine’s re-launch, she contributed a wealth of information and stories, and recruited and encouraged other adult children to write their own personal shares. 
We also extend a heartfelt “WELCOME” to Mardi M, who has assumed the role of Editor/Editor in Chief for one year. Mardi will be working with Patti H and the rest of the ComLine subcommittee members. 
The focus of each issue follows: 
  • January – March (1st Quarter), Steps 1, 2, 3 and Traditions 1, 2, 3
  • April – June (2nd Quarter) Steps 4, 5, 6 and Traditions 4, 5, 6
  • July – September (3rd Quarter), Steps 7, 8, 9 and Traditions 7, 8, 9
  • October – December (4th Quarter) Steps 10, 11, 12 and Traditions 10, 11, 12 
We look for personal stories of experience, strength, and hope. Poems and illustrations are also welcome. We especially appreciate shares from adult children from around the world. Please share in the language of your childhood; we will publish your share in your language. 
The 3rd Quarter ComLine is in production, and we are accepting submissions for the 4th Quarter 2016 issue. This covers October, November, and December. All submissions for the 4th Quarter issue should be submitted by August 31, 2016.

Translations
We are continuing to focus on outside US literature fulfillment solutions. All tri-folds and booklets offered for sale in the shopping cart have been translated into the Danish, Spanish, Finnish, and Russian. Prepress (layout, formatting, and quality checks prior to printing) is in process. 
We continue to add new and updated translations to the free literature for download page. See translations available for download for free at http://www.adultchildren.org/non-english-literature.
Audio BRB
Sales for May were 106 a-books sold. Total sold is 1,361 a-BRBs.
e-BRB
Sales for May were 204 e-books sold.  Total sold is 10,168 e-BRBs.
Miscellaneous
Nearly 600 emails were traded both domestically and abroad. Emails continue to cover the scope of literature offerings, suggestions for future publications, translations, printing / reprinting of new and existing products, digital offerings, and the international distribution project.
