2020 ABC Call for Proposals
Each year the ACA World Service Organization (WSO) holds an ACA Annual Business Conference (ABC) in April.  In anticipation of this event, all registered groups within the fellowship have the opportunity to create proposals of global interest that may then be considered for inclusion on the ABC Agenda.

We are pleased to announce the official Call for Proposals for the 2020 ABC. All pertinent information is being mailed to group contacts, as well as being posted on the Ballot Prep Committee page.

If your group does not receive this information directly through your WSO meeting contact, please update your meeting on the WSO website.  Questions about the Proposal process can be directed to [email protected].

Nominating Committee News
Service Positions on the Committee

The ACA Nominating Committee offers a unique new opportunity for ACA service. Become part of the team that is defining, implementing and sustaining a new process for selecting WSO trusted servants. We are accepting applications for two additional committee members: one from outside the USA and Canada; one with 2-3 years of ACA recovery. See the Nominating Committee page for more information and how to apply. If you're not ready yet, this information will give you the path to follow for future service in this committee.

Now Accepting Applications for New ACA WSO Trustee Positions
The Nominating Committee is now starting the selection process to fill two Trustee positions in 2020. Applications are due by November 22, 2019. The Committee will present nominations to the WSO Board in February 2020.

Do you have what it takes to serve as an ACA WSO Trustee? Do you have a compelling desire to make a difference in our fellowship at the global level? Do you think you can represent a segment of our fellowship that is underrepresented in the WSO?  If you answered, "maybe" or "yes" to any of these questions, check out the “Trustee Guidelines and Application” and apply!  If you are not yet eligible, these guidelines will give you a clear path to get there.  More information can be found on the Nominating Committee page.

New Intergroup Discount Codes - Discounts Without Case Quantities

The  Intergroup Discount Program has undergone an overhaul and there is a new procedure for placing orders to receive the IG discount starting August 1st.

We will no longer be selling items as bulk lots (cases) and have eliminated the Intergroup category from our website. All items will be sold as individual units.

This is good news! This means that Intergroups will no longer have to purchase an entire lot of items in order to receive the IG discount.Instead of purchasing pre-discounted bulk lots, you will now be able to purchase items in whatever quantities you wish and still receive the IG discount as long as your cart meets the order minimum of $100.

To receive the IG discount, you will now have to apply a Discount Code to your order during checkout. This code is specific to your Intergroup Purchasing account email and cannot be used by any other account. Simply enter your assigned discount code in the Discount Code box during checkout to receive the discount on any IG order over $100.

Your registered Intergroup Literature purchaser will get an email message with their specific IG discount code.

If your intergroup does not have a designated Literature purchaser, sign up now!

For more information on forming an Intergroup, please contact [email protected].

About Adult Children of Alcoholics

ACA is a worldwide 12 Step / 12 Tradition program of recovery dedicated to people who were raised in dysfunctional families. ACA does not seek to assign blame to parents or caretakers, but we seek to understand the reality of how family dysfunctions affected us as children and still affects our adult behavior today.

Family dysfunction can include alcoholism, abandonment, neglect, or any type of addiction or abuse. ACA is synonymous with ACoA  & Adult Children of Alcoholics and Dysfunctional Families.
