Monthly European Committee Report for February

This month we have been in contact with Norway, Finland, Slovenia, Spain, Denmark, Sweden.
Spain has asked for instructions from the board how to get BRB in Madrid onto Amazon Spain and the same with the International translated Spanish YWB.
Slovaks has completed their translation of the YWB and has just received a licensing agreement. The Finns have completed their Newcomer Booklet and are asking to have it printed. The Swedes are having their second print-run in less than a year of the YWB. The Danes have asked to sign a licensing agreement to translate the newcomer booklet, they have also asked for a electronic file of the booklet, because it is easier to translate from. This is a question for board approval.
The EC sent out an invitation for submission of interest to co-host the Annual European Meeting, with submission no later than Feb 15. We received a very well written proposal from the Greeks, and decided to accept their offer. We had our first working meeting with the Greek host committee on Feb 27.
The AEM will take place at Sep 25-27,2020

Report from Markus S and his visit to the Danish IG Meeting Feb 20-21: Visiting the Danish convention and IG-meeting as the new MPS-Chair of the European Committee. I ??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????made connections with Hasse, Literature Chair in Danish IG, as well as the other members of the Danish IG/Service Group. ?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????I learned the fact that the Danish IG has a H&I committee set up, which has many members with lots of service experience in a well-developed service??????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????structure. ???????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????As a member of on of the largest ACA European countries in the world I think there’s a lot of experience to be shared. ????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????I will follow up the contacts made via email. The European Annual Meeting
1, Motion:
We propose to have the Annual event of the European Annual ACA Meeting in Greece from Sep 25-27,2020. Background: a letter of interest was sent out in early February to the European IG’s for co-hosting the Annual European Meeting. Last for submission was Feb 15. 2. Theme for the convention; Talk, Trust, Feel
Motion by Majbrit: To adopt the theme Talk, Trust, Feel for the European Annual Meeting in Greece
Second by Hasse.
Discussion: full of Hope, simple, clarity, Being a new fellowship the Greeks need exercise how to communicate within the ACA program and in general, sharing and learning to trust again. To even have courage to trust.
